A street in Tomar

Up on the hill one can see the fortress walls of the convent/monastry/castle that was the subject of the last two weeks' posts.

From Friday, I will be away for a week. Should be posting again on 26 Feb.

I love when flowers will soften a narrow pathway - and this view is great with the castle at the end!
Enjoy your time away!
Louis: Thank you Elizabeth. The flowers are in front of a synagogue I wanted to visit, but I stayed too long up at the convent/monastery and they were closed.

Quelle jolie petite rue pavée.
Louis: Merci, Martine. C'est une rue à sens unique, heureusement.
Back down to earth again...and now you're ready to be gone. Enjoy your time away, Louis.
Louis: Yes, these things happen smile Thank you, Ginnie.

No traffic problems in this street, Louis

a lovely perspective - and I love the flowers on the left side!
Louis: Thank you Philine. The flowers are in front of a synagogue I wanted to visit, but I stayed too long up at the convent/monastery and they were closed.

This is perfect Louis, the narrow street and then the hint of a castle or whatever in the distance.
Louis: Thank you, gutteridge. Lots of gutteridge on view.
A charming cobbled street Louis.

Have a good trip.
Louis: Thank you Bill. I am off to one of the wilder parts of the country.

It is an attractive lane, Louis.
Louis: I thought so too, Ray. A bit tight for pedestrians when someone drives down it.
It is a very typical continental street isn't it. Enjoy your few days away wherever you might be heading for.
Louis: Typical for old towns and cities - lots of character. Thank you, Brian - I am going to one of the wilder parts of the country.
This is a lovely composition.
Louis: Thank you Mary
It kind of shouts "Portugal"!
Louis: It does, Tom and especially with that old lady.
I love streetscapes like that...
Louis: Heh, so do I ...
i quite like this view up the cobble stoned alley, Louis. enjoy your travels, Louis.
Louis: Thank you Ayush - they were most enjoyable.

You showed this lovely street on 14 Febr. - I wish you a good week!
Louis: You are making this comment at the posting of 14th Feb smile
There are similar views of the castle in Lisbon smile
Louis: In this case the old senora walking in my direction, is an important part of the picture.

I like this very much, Louis. What a wonderful little street. Too bad you were too late to visit the synagogue.
Louis: Thank you Astrid. Well, it did leave time to visit some other places outside Tomar smile
