Bicycle Friday

To the east of the Brandenburg Gate, there is the Pariser Platz (Paris Square) and on its North-Eastern corner, I saw this gathering of cycling worshippers. Yeah, they are getting high on overpriced tall and short carton holders of simulated coffee.

This is an attractive street scene, Louis.
Louis: A busy scene - here on this very warm day, people are scrumming for coffee. You would think the bars are overfull.
Jolie scène de rue avec tous ces vélos.
Louis: Merci Martine

We could be also in London or New York or wherever ...
Louis: The nearest one to my house, is about 3km's.

Those cartons will soon be a thing of the past here, Louis
Louis: I was thinking that if old Trumpie would put some export tariffs on Starbucks, I may even think positive of him for a few seconds. But don't get your hopes up, Lisl, Starbucks and MacDonalds can crawl where water can't flow.

The dumbing down of a great nation, in all its dubious glory..
Louis: I think most of these people are tourists - many rental bikes in that bunch. But one never know ...
HAHAHA! Starbucks would get a chuckle out of this, Louis...I hope! smile
Louis: You think? Well, you of all people that I know, should know.

I am surprised that Germany, that loves coffee, would tolerate such a poor quality brand as Starbucks.
Louis: Most people attending, may be tourists. There is a lot of rental bikes in that lot. The US Embassy is about 400 metres away from this spot. So hopefully they are not all Germans that get their taste buds diluted here.
There is no escape from this purveyor of the undrinkable
Louis: Absolutely no escape, Bill
Busy, busy, busy.
Louis: Surprisingly so. Temperature is over 30 C and people flog for coffee.
I've never fancied trying a Starbucks, a carton full of froth I gather.
Louis: Me too, Brian.
if you turn around Louis you will likely find another Starbucks on the corner behind you....petersmile
Louis: Scary thought, peter
Another blot on the landscape ;-)
Louis: Someone in the EU should slap them with heavy tariffs.
Il y a du monde par ici ..le velo est surement mieux pour se poser ..
Louis: Je vous remercie. Il ressemble à  un vélo club de collecte.
I'm so pleased to see so many bikes!
Louis: I think the business was also pleased smile
