Namibian farm - a general view

Just a general view of the farm. This is what you see all around. I am pretty sure if it was not for fence and stuff, it would have been easy to start walking in circles.

Another great weekend to you all.

It is starkly gorgeous, Louis...if you can understand that.
Louis: I love stark places, like deserts and other arid places. Thus I believe I understand what you mean, Ray.
That is very rugged farmland Louis... is this the dry season...
i love the big sky with the feather clouds....petersmile
Louis: It is the dry season. In summer there are often cotton wads all over the blue skies. Most of the time they have good sky for photography.

One needs a GPS to walk the dog.. That will be a long fence. LOVE the view. Great sky. What kind of farm is this, animals?? Geen spruitjes zo te zien wink
Louis: It is a combination of cattle and game. Ja, geen spruitjes smile

heel veel hemel - en een paradijs voor de dieren!
Louis: Een mooie landschap en inderdaad zijn daar noch veel wilde dieren op de farm.
I love the terrain, and lovely sky! Once again - so much like Arizona!
Louis: Much like Arizona - true. Thanks Elizabeth.
Wonderful Louis, and it's bringing back great memories to my mind!
Louis: Glad to jog the memory, Richard

This looks to be a huge landscape
Louis: It is big and not so many people, Lisl

There's a whole lot of sky out there Louis
Louis: Lovely sky, I thought, Chris.
In this case, I'm very sure everything, including the sky, seems eternally expansive.
Louis: On top of that, population density is low.
I suppose with your spring coming all of this grass will soon be green. Is that correct?
Louis: Officially they have spring. You feel it in the temperatures at first. In a normal year, they can expect rain from November onwards and then it will all turn green.
fabulous shot. i love the wide sky
Louis: Thank you Ayush, I thought it was worth showing.
Magnificent sky Louis, I can't believe just how flat it is.
Louis: ... and it goes on for many a mile, Brian.
There is a stark beauty here, far removed from the green of Worcestershire!
Louis: I agree that it is beautiful, nonetheless, Bill.
I like Ray's description of it being starkly gorgeous, Louis. The night sky must be a wonder to behold.
Louis: Yes, that night sky is very special. Unfortunately I didn't have a tripod with me. There are limits to what I can do hand held style smile So no pics, this time around. Here is a shot I have taken at another place at another time http://louis.shutterchance.com/image/2007/05/09/milky-way/
