Backpackers moments #1

The thought came to me that all the Israel pictures that I have shown you so far, are full of blue - sky and water. Which may become monotonous.

During the trip, we stayed in backpackers all the time. Quite an experience, I can assure you. To break the monotony, I decided to show you things one see at a backpackers.

This is one of many chairs that we carried out into a public parking area, in front of the entrance of the backpackers in Tiberias. A circle of 20 to 30 people is formed and notes on the area are exchanged, while eating something for supper (mostly falafel, shoarma or some self made pasta dish), while drinking cold drinks, beer or wine. It could get quite noisy as the evening progresses.

What fun! And they just let you rearrange the furniture!
Louis: It is a backpackers, Elizabeth. As long as you are not breaking or stealing it, you may enjoy!

This made your holiday a very sociable one, Louis
Louis: It was quite sociable, Lisl. I have met people, on a hike all the way from Eilat on the Red Sea, to Tiberias, and aiming to go further north. And many more, with all kinds of interesting stories to tell.

That looks comfortable enough to eat, drink and have a great time with others...
Meeting other people is always fun, a lot of many nationalities I assume?
Louis: A lot of fun, Astrid. I met people from so many places, world wide. All of them have interesting stories to tell.
Wait. You thought you were getting monotonous??????????
Louis: I was looking at past Friday's blue picture and thought I should break the run of blue, Ginnie.

Sounds like a good experience Louis
Louis: No doubt, it was, Chris.
Sounds very sociable Louis
Louis: It was quite sociable, Bill. I have met people, on a hike all the way from Eilat on the Red Sea, to Tiberias, and aiming to go further north. And many more, with all kinds of interesting stories to tell.
A fine Black Mondag image Louis, I like the smooth light grey against the contrasted pattern behind.
Louis: I thought a connoisseur like you, will appreciate it, gutteridge.
My friend and I stayed in hostels for the two months in Australia. It was a wonderful experience. This wall would be a great one for people to autograph.
Louis: A wall in the kitchen area, was considered more suitable, Mary. It may happen that the overflow from the kitchen end up here, one day.
interesting arrangement. i like the background a fair bit, Louis
Louis: Thanks Ayush. I thought it is worth the picture.
Looks suitably uncomfortable to ensure the meeting doesn't go on too long!
Louis: This chair was very much coveted, Tom
I like the wall pattern, a bit like those adult colouring books that are so popular over here at the moment.
Louis: The fad hasn't reached us yet, Brian.
Great story Louis... that chair looks like it has covered a few mile of backpacking itself....petersmile
Louis: Quite a busy chair, I agree, peter
that wall is rather busy...
