Nazareth village - street scene

When you are lucky, one can catch a scene like this. No tourists, just the shepherd next to the sheep pen, talking to an approaching friend.

He looks like he has things ready for the next Coming, Louis.
Louis: Since he is a Christian, he will be, Ray

This looks like it was taken 2000 years ago....this is what I pictured myself reading the bible and hearing all the stories.
Lucky you indeed... rare and beautiful and timeless.
Louis: Thank you Astrid. This was the first time I ever toured with a group. I was always late, because I hung back for photo opportunities, like these. Did a lot of jogging to catch up smile
Ageless. Timeless. Straight out of ancient history!
Louis: Thank you Ginnie, it was worth playing catch-up with the group.

A sight that visitors to the Holy Land will have seen for centuries, Louis - and your colouring seems just right
Louis: Thanks Lisl, much appreciated.

Whoo - biblical or wot Louis!
Louis: They try their best to convey that feeling, but for the picture one has to dodge the tourists. Thanks Chris.
Wow, like theBible come to life Louis.
Louis: They try their best to convey that feeling, but for the picture one has to dodge the tourists. Thanks gutteridge.
You feel nothing much has changed in 2000 years
Louis: One does, but then ... I used a camera smile
One might argue as to when this was taken. Good on ya, mate!
Louis: Thanks a lot, Mary.
Like a lot of others looking at this today I feel it could have been taken any time over the last few millenniums, possibly apart from his shoes nothing ages this at all.
Louis: His shoes are authentic sandals as they used then. Socks didn't exist back then, so they swaddled their feet, before stepping into the sandals. The guy at the olive press had the same swaddling and sandals, as will those in the next few pictures. Thanks for being the first to notice the footwear, Brian.
B&W obviously appropriate here, Louis!
Louis: Thank you Tom
a timeless shot Louis... this could have been taken 2000 years ago....petersmile
Louis: No, it can't. The camera is not that old, peter smile
Seems to bring back an older time... good in b&w.
You were lucky indeed... fine photo...
