Empty Roman bath

After the heated exchange following the attempted pilfering, we decided that distance was the better part of valour. So off we went to investigate the rest of the ruins in the vicinity on a very dark night. Luckily all mobile phones now come with flashlights. This part wa particularly interesting, with those arches.

What seems to be lights in the dark, eminates from some houses on a hill and behind some trees.

And if you really have to know, that beer is mine, waiting for me to finish trying to take pictures in pitch dark. As most of you will know, the camera refuses to focus on something it can't 'see'. But if someone would shine a light on the arches, I focused automatically and the put it on manual and manual focus.

Well very good work then... with the flashlights and the beer and all! smile
Louis: Thank you Elizabeth - quite a place, I thought.
Excellent capture Louis! Did you enjoy the beer?
Louis: It was a Macabee. I did enjoy it - if not, I would have given it to the Palestinians as a peace offering.

Quite an experience, Louis
Louis: So it was, Lisl
Lucky you to know how these things work, Louis, because you got yourself a beauty here. Now, go finish your beer. You deserve it!
Louis: Thank you Ginnie. I spilled twice that evening, but not the beer smile
Someone is demonstrating their knowledge of astronomy Louis.
Louis: There were girls to impress, gutteridge smile
You figured it all out with the phone and lights. Good for you with this fine result.
Louis: Thank you Mary.
I would have finished the beer first grin
Louis: I wouldn't let you grin
everybody is looking all over the place, Louis.
Louis: They were revealed by the flash - for a split second.
Hope it was a starry night!

You will need more than 1 bottle of beer if you are intending to fill the bath, Louis.
Louis: Astute comment, Ray. With enough beer, I probably won't have to fill the bath. Something about a fish on dry land, in reverse, comes to mind ...
