Le sac est plus gros que la dame et il a l'air bien lourd.
Louis: Elle est une femme forte. Heureusement, elle n'a pas à transporter le sac à dos très loin. Elle est en attente à un arrêt d'autobus.
i love this picture in b&w Louis... it seems that she is carrying her life's treasures in that backpack....petersmile
Louis: In my mind, this young woman represents a certain type of female traveler. She is independent, live in backpackers and similar, she is strong in a sense that she can work hard, strong minded, knowledgeable about places and traveling requirements. Her boots tells me that she is not going to do a lot of hiking for the day and she will probably be using motorised transport. After living in backpackers during my stay in Israel, I became very aware of this category of traveler, peter.

Heavy duty boots...
Louis: But not good for hiking, Ray. Perhaps, a seasoned traveler on a non-hiking day. But the boots will be sturdy, as she is a backpackers traveler.
Nice shot, Louis! And a mighty big pack for a little girl!
Louis: I have never heard of girls with small suitcases smile
A strong woman to carry this huge bag Louis! Fine candid capture.
Louis: Strong and independent. Thank you, Richard.

A very stylish traveller from the look of things Louis
Louis: She seemed to be experienced, prepared and a woman (the style part) all at the same time, Chris.
I immediately thought of Elizabeth. She definitely could be one of us. smile
Louis: I have met with more women like her at the various backpackers that we stayed at in Israel, Ginnie. Independent and purposeful.

Did yo finish the Israel series?
Louis: No, Philine. This picture was taken in Tiberias. This week, I am doing pictures without explanations. All of this week's pictures will come from Israel.

Like Ray I wondered about the shoes.... with that backpack you need all the 'help' you can get...
Great shot and I like the B&W.
Louis: They are good shoes, but when I have to do a lot of walking and carrying, I prefer my hiking shoes (not boots). Thanks for the comment Astrid.

A self-contained young woman, Louis
Louis: She sure is, Lisl.
That back pack is bigger than she is. A good candid portrait
Louis: Thank you Bill. A big pack, indeed.
That looks a very heavy pack Louis, clearly carrying everything with her.
Louis: I think her live savings will be in the bank, but the rest of her everything is probably in that bag.
Gosh, that is a big pack for a small person.
Louis: True, Mary.
Got everything she needs, Louis, a nice shot.
Louis: Thank you Frank - she is an independent type.
Very good candid portrait Louis.
Louis: Thank you, very much, Brian.
That's a heck of a backpack to be carrying around!
Louis: Par for the course, in the world of backpackers, Tom.

That's a strong woman lugging that bag around.
Louis: smile I wouldn't go arm wrestling with her, Toks.
lost in thought...
