Power-assisted bicycle Friday

Don't get carried away this weekend. Stay level-headed, even in the pub and look after your camera.

Nice one, Louis.

I have been trying to find a suitable electric assist, Bike, for folks to use instead of the motorcycle around the Village, and so I can have company on some of my bicycle rides.

Not found one I am prepared to buy, yet.
Louis: Thanks Ray. After arriving home from the Israel trip, I looked through my pictures and this one had me thinking. In the last 5 years I may have seen one of these bicycles. So I believe they are not very much in demand over here. Anyway, so I read up - one thing I realise is that they are expensive, so indeed one should be careful, when buying.

Jolie photo. C'est plus facile de monter les côtes avec un tel vélo.
Louis: Meilleurs transports Vous pouvez avoir à Jérusalem. Ils devraient les louer.
Great to have assistance to clim hill Louis! Very nice capture.
Louis: Thank you Richard. I prefer to be on my feet or in my car, against a steep side smile

This is a REAL bike, one with MUDGUARDS and an electric motor to assist those of an elderly disposition
Louis: There are models without mudguards, for golden oldies of an adventurous disposition.

but we are in Jerusalem -there is the typical Jerusalem stone.
Louis: This was in Jerusalem. Best type of transport in the old city.
Good advice, Louis, especially for the 13th! I quite like looking through the fence to see what lies beyond....
Louis: Beyond; is first a house being demolished. There is a part of the old city wall, but that is difficult to point out in words. In the far background are the tombs on the Mount of Olives.
I tried an electric assist bike on a Melbourne tour Louis, it is very good.
Louis: I have never tried one, but did a lot of reading up after I saw this one. In the process I saw that they are a bit expensive.
I would love to try one of these hybrids.
Louis: After reading up on them, I am surprised that they are not used more, all over the world.
An electric bicycle could be the answer to commuter and pollution problems
Louis: I agree with that sentiment. After reading up, I thought they are a bit expensive at around £2,000. So, I keep on walking.
An impressive machine, Louis...Tempting.
Louis: Very much so, Frank. Apparently there is also a tricycle model, with a biggish basket. Ideal for a golf cart or carrying camera equipment ...
it looks like something i could ride... it would help me get up the hills Louis... or just when i run out of breath....petersmile
Louis: Especially when one runs out of breath or the legs have trouble with pedaling. Some say the pedals are there to classify it as a bicycle.
Looks expensive!
Louis: I believe it is, Tom

Looks very convenient and easy to park.
I have no clue how expensive... this is a link, not to the same model, but still... it made me smile.

Louis: Oh, they had the same model there for somewhere between €1,500 to €2,000. Thank you Astrid.
Look very handy...
Louis: Especially in the Jerusalem Old City.

Is this Jerusalem? You got the wonderful texture of the stones.
Louis: It is Jerusalem. Lot of limestone used for building and paving.
