This is a fabulous picture. Love the light and the whole scene...
Great details on the door too.
Louis: Thank you Astrid. That door is actually a shortcut in from the Via Dolorosa.

I recognises at once: in front of the 'Grabeskirche' - a nice scene and no crowds of tourists/pilgrims.
Louis: One has to be patient with the crowds. Luckily, they are always on their way to some place.
I can never understand why people in hot countries wear black, such an absorbent colour.
Louis: In this case it was winter, but you are right. They wear the same cassock and stuff in summer - and it does get hot in Israel.
This is a fabulous portrait Louis
Louis: Thank you very much, Bill
having a rest in the sun Louis... he looks so peaceful in this wonderful portrait....petersmile
Louis: I think, that at his age, these sunny moments at rest are just wonderful.
A fine image, Louis - wonderful portrait.
Louis: Thank you very much, Tom.
This is TIMELESS, Louis.
Louis: I agree, Ginnie. In a timeless city in a timeless country.
Lighting, detail, composition, even the old fella's expression, all perfect, Louis. Fabulous picture.
Louis: THank you very much, Graham

What a marvelous shot, Louis. It has shades of Whistler's Mother about it. Yours is a beautiful picture.
