Oh wow! A super shot, Louis, I like the eyes....
Louis: Thank you Frank - appreciated.
a superb portrait of this Water Buffalo Louis... the only colour in the frame is in his eyes... strange....petersmile
Louis: The Water Buffalo is actually a Cape Buffalo, peter. The Water types graze in Ray's paddies.
smile Excellent, Louis!!!
Louis: Thank you Elizabeth.

Ooooops!

Magnificent image, Louis!
Louis: Thank you Ray. It must have been quite an event and noise when that horn broke off.
On dirait qu'il lui manque une corne, perdue dans une bagarre probablement.
Louis: Vous êtes probablement correcte, Martine. Il s'agit d'un vieux mâle.
HAHA! I had a former boss who would say that, Louis, so I always smile when I see/hear it! Perfect.
Louis: I am not sure when or where I heard it the first time, but it came to mind when I looked at the one-horned buffalo.

He looks as if he has had quite a life, Louis
Louis: A good life as well, Lisl. Especially since he is still alive.

He looks very human, look at his eyes, but I would not kiss him. Martine is right, he had some battles with competitors for sure.
Louis: It would be a slimy kiss, I imagine. So, I agree. It is better not to kiss it, Philine.

What a wonderful picture Louis, aint he great! The eyes are wonderful
Louis: Old buffalo bulls are wonderful animals, Chris.
A fine picture. Keeping the eye colour has worked well.
Louis: Thank you, Bill. The amber colour convinced me, to do it.
"I'm thinking of having my parting on one side next time"
Louis: It could be a painful exercise, so hardly worth a repeat, gutteridge. At least, that is what I think ...
Love this conversion, Louis. I like the eyes but at the same time, the colour makes it a little scary.
Louis: Thank you Mary. I associate amber eyes with animals that want to do things their way.
Great shot. I like the way you've left the colour in its eyes.
Louis: Thank you Brian.
That's a serious looking water buffalo!
Louis: Heh, that's because he is a Cape Buffalo, Tom.
thanks for the information Louis... i will try to get that right the next time....petersmile
Louis: I am sure the buffalo is not insulted, peter ...

Haha, I see the eyes too....

Looks like he has been in the wars and lost a horn, or is that a trick of the light?
Louis: No, it is no trick of the light. That horn is snapped off.
very nice portrait and i like the treatment over the eyes, Louis. well.. life happens.
