Finding accommodation

This is the picture I was in the process of loading last Thursday, when lighting caused a surge and I lost my internet connection. The repair was made yesterday, almost a week later.

Back to the picture. The birds are weavers. When the sun goes down, they start to gather in nearby trees, before flying off into their nesting tree in a big flock. This picture captures part of the gathering process.

Have a great weekend with your loved ones.

Worth waiting a week to see this, Louis.
Louis: Thank you, Ray. Funny, how one feels a bit helpless when the line goes down.
this is unbelievable!
Louis: One afternoon in the bush - sort of healing the soul.
Super shot, Louis, worth the wait.
Louis: Thank you Frank.I am glad to be connected again. So many thing are tied in to the net nowadays - banking etc.
The colors are spectacular, Louis!! I like seeing the action of flapping wings.
Louis: Thank you Elizabeth. I like that indication of activity, myself.

Quelles magnifiques couleurs ! J'aime beaucoup les oiseaux à  contre jour.
Louis: Merci, Martine. Ils ont leur routine quotidienne, en ce moment.

What a fabulous picture, the warm colours and the flapping wings of the birds... fabulous.
I googled the birds... what great colours do some have.
Louis: Thank you Astrid. This is a mixed bunch. They will whir off to group each with their own kind and depart to their nesting trees.

Heavens just look at that Technicolor sky!
Louis: It was a special one.
A sort of after work social before going home to bed
Louis: Something like that, Bill.
A sociable procedure before eadding down
Louis: A good description. I wonder what story David Attenborough will tie up to this procedure smile
What a wonderful sky to accompany those flapping wings.
Louis: The end of day is so special in nature. It is something to watch, how the various animals and birds prepare for the night.
Looks like plenty of room for all.
Louis: A lot of room and a lot of traffic, Brian.

All part of the hierarchy of tree roosting, I wonder if it is on a first come first served basis.

Good to heat you are back online. We have waited for a month in the past.
Louis: This is just a gathering point before they depart for their nesting trees in groups. Here it would be first come, first perched.
A month? And I have been truly unhappy to wait 6 days. Problem is that so much of one's life is now linked to the net.
A practice rather like that of starlings.
Louis: We have many kinds of starlings and off-hand I kind think of only one type that is given to flocking. I will look out when in their part of the land, whether they do this evening gathering exercise.
I hate when the internet does that to us, Louis, but look at how you came back in a blaze of color. Take THAT, Internet!
Louis: Heh, heh. Well, apart from SC, loss of internet is unsettling. With it I also lost landline telephone. Things like banking, contact with the taxman, some business I am involved in, etc are all reliant on internet. My cellphone contract is sized to landline and internet being available. Suddenly, I am forced to exceed all limits. And so-on and so forth. Just a way that one is brought back to earth smile
wow, Louis, absolutely gorgeous. what a moment, what timing, what colours!
Louis: Thank you Ayush. It was really wonderful.
that magnificent layers of multicoloured sky likely blew the weavers minds Louis...
beautiful composition....petersmile
Louis: Thank you peter - the weavers did seem a little swervy smile
