Crisp and lovely shot, Louis...the boid seems to be illuminated.
Louis: One of the few times that I had the ideal of light over the shoulder when photographing a bird. Thanks Ray.

That lovely red eye is a thing of joy Louis
Louis: Indeed, it is standing out, Chris.
I can just picture Mother Nature that day having a blast coloring everything in sight...and then smiling as she added the band of red to the eyes and beak. smile
Louis: A vivid visual that you painted, Ginnie.

Oh, the birdie looks a bit anxious or shy.
Louis: I took the shot in winter and it was puffed up with feet in the cold water, Philine.
This is superb in many ways Louis - colour, composition, focus and subject.
Louis: Thank you, oh gutteridge.
You are getting some awesome bird shots. Another one very well done.
Louis: Thank you Mary - it is what I like to do most.

Another pretty fellow, beautifully captured. The touches of blue in the water look interesting.
Louis: Thank you blackdog. I believe they are moments of reflected early morning blue sky.
Another delightfully coloured little bird.
Louis: I agree with that, Brian.
Perfect make up
Louis: I just hope that some girls don't try to copy the colour scheme smile
