Wonderful, graceful critters...they are quite active around our Village at the moment.
Louis: They are graceful, especially in their breeding feathers, like this one.
A beautiful shot of the gorgeous bird, Louis! Have a great weekend!
Louis: Thank you Elizabeth. The bird is a beauty indeed.
Super shot of this elegant bird, Louis.
Louis: Thanks a lot, Frank.
WOW. Makes sense if you're about to fly off into it, Louis. Fabulous.
Louis: They are sensible, indeed. Thank you Ginnie.

What a great picture of this 'big bird'. Love the way the wind is playing with its feathers.
Louis: Thank you Astrid. Those feathers that look like extra fluffy long hairs, are grown in the breeding season. It is like women wearing jewels and young men using deodorant, when dating.

Nervously looking out for predators from the look of it Louis
Louis: Quite the possibility, Chris. There are fish eagles in that area.

Your bird pictures are an inspiration, Louis. Next week I am going to the lakes of the Somerset Levels to try my hand again
Louis: That trip sounds like fun, Lisl. Good hunting for bird pictures.
Both great and white. A fine bird
Louis: Somewhat bigger than the better known cattle egret. Fine indeed.
It is really twisted around isn't it. Love the composition on this excellent shot, Louis.
Louis: I think Chris' suggestion that it was taking a check for predators may be close. But I thought it makes for an unusual picture, so fired away. Thank you Mary.
They are certainly large birds.
Louis: Oh yes, they are. Almost the size of a grey heron.
Super shot, Louis!
Louis: Thank you Tom.
really liking the smooth flowing lines on this one, Louis. a handsome creature
Louis: Thank you Ayush. Handsome, indeed.

this is a wonderful portrait of this great white egret with your long lens... they look about the same here in Canada as well... except they are more politegrin
