Practice

Yes, I am practicing. One type of practicing is with the Nik software that Brian introduced me to. The other is that I may be travelling to Hollandshire and Portugal next week. So I dug up this shot taken in Hollandshire and processed it in Silver Efex.

My application for a Schengen visa is still awaiting approval. It is a very long story, but I can only comment that you guys, living in the first world, don't know how lucky you are to have your freedom of travel, to most countries.

Oh yes, happy boat Monday.

Have fun with your new software and I hope you get your visa soon.

Good luck with you travel arrangements, Louis.
Louis: Thank you Ray - I will probably need it.
A lovely shot!
Have a great trip - I hope the visa problem will be worked out without further problems. With as much crap as we have going on with our stupid government right now, I know I am very fortunate to be American....
Louis: Thank you Elizabeth. Yes - it is always the average citizen that ends up with the trouble and those who wants to do damage still succeed.
Nice shot, Louis, that software is very good...The boat looks like a Thames barge.
Louis: I agree and the boat is a Dutch sailing barge.
When I saw this, Louis, I immediately said "More Dutch you cannot get!" But I will HATE it if we miss you once again (we leave for Cornwall on Friday the 12th). Do keep us informed....please.
Louis: The shot was taken near the Zuiderzee Museum. I wrote you an e-mail concerning the situation ...

A lovely image Louis. One day I hope you will be able to come to the UK. In September 2018 we plan to have another Shutterchance meet up..
Louis: September 2018, you say? Mmmm. Like I said before, I can only decide nearer the time - but have to decide 2 months in advance.

My first thought: we are in Holland - I love your treatment. I wished all the Brexiteers had read your comment.
Louis: I think that both UK and Europe will be silly to start restricting each other's movement.

This is fabulous and what a great picture to practice. Man alive, the things you have to do to travel, I do hope you get your visa in time to travel to Hollandshire, too bad we miss each other again...
Louis: Thank you Astrid. It is getting to the point that one gets discouraged to visit Europe.
I love these Dutch boats. Silver efex is brilliant as is all the Nik package.

Have a great trip
Louis: Thank you Brian. The only thing is that the border placed by the software eats up too much space - see the left side. There is probably a feature that can help with this, but my time ran out. Will look into it, later.
Boat Mondag makes a change Louis. Good luck on your travels.
Louis: Thank you gutteridge. Something like Black Boat Mondag smile
I really love this treatment of the sailboat shot.
Louis: Thank you Mary
