Ericeira street at dusk

It is now 22:01 and I have just left the wine bar and Fado music, in Ericeira. I am on my way to that fancy fish restaurant. One thing I have learned from this picture, is that when you have been to a wine bar, you instinctively shoot pictures that don't require straightening. A strong cold wind was blowing in from the sea, so people were staying indoors.

well there is a straightening tool in photoshop but then it becomes too much work, depending on how much wine and how many pictures, Louis. thank you for the insight smile
Louis: You are right, the straightening tool is not as nice as the wine smile

A quiet and lovely scene here, Louis...
Louis: Thanks, it required me to brave the cold wind and do some shutter work.
I especially love the golden light at the end. Nice straight photo, Louis! smile
Louis: Thank you Elizabeth - oh the wine!

J'aime les rues pavées. En France, on n'en voit presque plus.
Louis: Je pense que les rues de pavé doit être cher à entretenir.
Man alive. That's late for the sun to go down, Louis. Reminds me of my northern Michigan days!
Louis: Yes Ginnie, I also remember the sun going down very late in Dutchland.
Tout au bout la lumière ...jolie prise de vue !
Louis: Merci beaucoup, Claudine.

Top tip: always drink a bottle of wine before attempting to take pictures
Louis: Thanks Chris, tip taken.

Oh, this street could be in Germany, too - I love the sunlighting! I wonder that there are no people, but there are no cafés.
Louis: A strong cold wind was blowing at that time.

I think you should go more to a wine bar... THIS IS GOOD... I love this picture (and of course you know I am kidding.... you have good pictures...period.... and for the straightening... I think Ericeira is built on a hilly rocky ground... nothing is straight there....
Louis: Wine bars are good for straight pictures on hills, Astrid. Thanks for the compliment.
Another benefit of wine

I like the glow of sunlight down the street.
Louis: Endless benefits, Bill. I recommend it highly.

I know what you mean about visiting a wine bar Louis, and I can just make out a farmacia.
Louis: The pharmacy is closed, therefor no light. I visited a pharmacy in Portugal, when my ear didn't want to pop, three days after visiting Sintra. I spoke English and the pharmacist Portuguese and I got drops that worked a miracle. She also showed me their automated storage system, which I thought to be amazing.

I will remember that if I need to, Louis
Louis: A need can be created, Lisl.
You did a fine job creating a mood here, Louis. Off for some fresh fish sounds delightful.
Louis: Thank you - and that fish was delightful, Mary.
I like that late splash of sunlight.
Louis: I did enjoy my time here, Brian.
Typical Portuguese street!
Louis: True, Tom.
Good control of the light...
Louis: Thank you Larry
