Top right - cloisters of the monastry. The top level was added later. The white tower thing on the left is just outside the refectory and houses the baptismal font. The picture top left is of the baptismal font from inside the cloisters.
Bottom right is the interior of the top floor cloisters, showing off the Cisterian austerity.
Bottom left is a azulejos (tiled) scene of the first Portuguese king, Afons Henriques, vowing the monastry to be built if his side was to win the battle of Santarém in 1147 AD.
