Crude bridge

A crude bridge lying against an earth bank.   Just behind the bank is a stream of about 1.5 metres to cross.  Most of the year it is dry.  In the rainy season this ladder like contraption is fitted over the stream and used to bridge the stream.

The conversion is midnite sepia applied to a desaturated picture.

Looks like it mostly gets used by the vegetation. The processing works well here.
Louis: Rain started soon after this shot was taken and the plants lost their hold smile Thanks Martin.
A texture similar to the used one by Kay. I like much this composition, Louis!

Lovely image in all aspects, Louis. I'd prefer not to know what and why, though. I already started coming up with all kind of stories, while looking at the image, then read your explanation and all my fantasies got thoroughly extinguished.

Besides this time I think I had to indicate how this ladder-like contraption is used as a bridge. So please forgive me for destroying your fantasy trip. Were you climbing Jacob's ladder?

I really like this image, Louis...your processing seems to have served to highlight thos excellent weeds.

Louis: Thanks Patrick. Not so difficult if you have the right tool. Google 'nik Color Efex Pro! Photo Artistic Set' and find a site where you can download the set. This is a plug-in for Photoshop - and this is the Midnight (Sepia) technique from the set.
You should be able to create it without a plug-in by mixing softness, brightness and colour in the process.

Louis: Thanks Ellie. I used a plug-in. A plug-in is a number of PS actions recorded to provide a specific effect. There are many plug-ins available on the internet and many for free. Just google 'Photoshop plug-ins' or 'Photoshop tutorials' and download what looks worthwhile to the programme file on your computer where the Adobe Photoshop is stored. When you open Photoshop again, the plug-in will be listed under the Filters drop-down menu. Easy to use. This one is known as midnight sepia.
