Very, very nice, Louis. I have a feeling you are used to this view!
Louis: Thanks Ginnie, yes I am. I was trying something I have seen at Kathryn's the past week. Light outlining of silhouetted objects.
IS this one of those thing we do for our children "riding lessons" on the weekend.Good photo Louis
Louis: You are so right vintage. This is part of prep for endurance riding.
It feels very early Louis. Great shot.
Louis: Thanks Gale - it was made a bit earlier by underexposing. It was still 07:00
Stunner Louis, I love the sepia, the silhouettes are very strong, the little touch of sun on the horse back and fence does it for me.
Louis: Thanks Astrid. I was trying something I have seen at Kathryn's the past week. Light outlining of silhouetted objects.
Great shot ... I go along with Astrid's words. richard
Louis: Thanks Richard. I was trying something I have seen at Kathryn's the past week. Light outlining of silhouetted objects.
She is just a little bit dark, Louis, but the forms and silhouettes that are guessed marked by the light are charming! I like the atmosphere! (Opps the cables always bothering!
Louis: Thank you José-Angel. I have delibertaely underexposed half against the sun. I was after silhouettes with light outlines. It is OK. The cables did not bother. They are high above and behind the riders.
Great shot Louis. Sepia gives a very nive atmosphere
Louis: Thanks Richard. It does help with the early morning atmosphere.
I agree with Astrid- a wonderful atmosphere early in the morning, short after the starting, full of expectations! The morning sky in Africa must be quite more impressive than in Europe, I saw such a brown- red sepia sky only in the Sinai mountains. (North-Africa)!
Louis: Thank you Philine. The picture looks darker than reality. I have deliberately underexposed half against the sun. I have added a layer of sepia like colour to surpress the artifacting that I picked up from the shooting against the sun. The colour is now darker than reality.
A beauty Louis! The bits of light on the horses is great, so are the lines in the skye and the fence... Lovely phot!
Petra
Louis: Thanks Petra. You are so scarce it is an honour to have a visit from you
Great image, Louis. Were you mounted [on horse] at the time?
Louis: Thanks ray. Not mounted and not on a horse as well
Louis is a great shot. Was your daughter riding in this shot?
Louis: Thanks Tracy - she was just past the lens range. I have some others of her alone.
Looks like and old authentic photo
Louis: Thanks for the comment Chantal
great effect, was this an evening shot, relatively high iso plus shutter speed.
Louis: Thank you Rory. Early morning, with the rising sun just touching some objects. I have deliberately underexposed half against the sun to get the light outlines.
I love the outlines on some horses, really good pic Louis.
Louis: Thanks for this comment Nigel
This captures the early morning feel perfectly!
Louis: Thank you Martin, I am glad that you like it.
gorgeous Louis, great scene with even better processing well done
Louis: Thanks for the comment tim - we both had early morning pictures up!
Beautiful silhouettes !!! With this golden colour ... I love it !!!
Louis: Thanks Ann, I am glad that you like it
Nice golden sepia effect Louis.
Louis: Thanks Aussie - you keep well on night shift
I love the lighting effects of the horses and a great action shot Louis!
Louis: Thanks Michelle
This is cool... very cool... it would/could be a CD sleeve...
Inspiring...
Louis: Thanks for this comment minelmio - it is inspiring too.
I agree with Astrid - this is very cool. The light on the horse to the right....mmmmm I like
Louis: Thanks Aksel - this was the first time that I have started planning to obtain a certain effect long before pushing the shutter button.
I like very much the effect here Louis, nice shadows !
