Compared with the previous picture, this picture was taken in the opposite direction. I have managed to keep the rising sun just out of the picture to the right behind the pine tree.
Now this I like Louis, seems calm and cold to me. The lad adds a further dimension o nce you find him.
Louis: He doesn't stand out, but without him the picture is the poorer. I have others without him and one when his mom joined. They are just not the same. Thanks Les.
Young man is not the subject here. I had to search for him. The tree reflections are the stars.
Louis: Can you see the tree bending over to welcome the young man? Well to tell the truth I was taking some pics of the trees and more for their reflections than anything else. The boy walked into this picture. Viewing the various pics next to each other, I realised that however small he is in this picture, without him it is not the same.
The reflections remain + +
I agree with Mary, Louis. I had to search for the young man, too. Those trees are definitely the "stars" of this image. The hint of the rising sun gives this an ethereal feel. It's wonderful!
Louis: I'll paste the same answer as to Mary:

Thank you Ginnie
A composition that thanks to the title of the work makes you introduce in the reflexes. I'like, Louis! (Thanks for your comment ... ahh! Are not at war lol!)
It appears like the trees are talking amongst each other about the little boy. The trees in the middle and on the left are talking like old ladies do about the tree on the right trying to make friends with the boy... full of meaning and a wonderful image, Louis.
Louis: I am so in agreement with your observation - especially about the tree welcoming the kid.
far better Louis, the colours are so much more natural
Louis: Yes, those blues are unbelievable. Same sky, different direction (not 100% into the sun) and the sky is still blue. I think another time of day it would have been washed.
I have commented on this before, long ago. Our winter sky, shooting south, can sometimes be amazingly blue in a picture - more than the naked eye can tell. I would not know the technical reasons for this.
For comparison you can check this picture http://louis.shutterchance.com/photoblog/A_bird_on_the_wire_/
In the end I will agree that the colours could be considered to be not so natural.
Beautiful - love the reflection here...right hand side....is it a small bush standing on the side or is it reflections from the trees....I love it when I ask my self question like that, thanks to your picture
Louis: I think that may be the young man of the picture
Dagnammit Louis! Everytime I browse your blog I get homesick - I'm draughting an official letter of complaint as we speak!
H.
Louis: No use complaining, you made a grown-up choice. Grandfather always said that one should take responsibility. Oh yes, I sat before a similar choices and silly as it may sound - I kept on thinking of watermelons in summer and how I am going to miss them.
Just swallow hard and you will get over it. No use writing long letters to your MP
