"Please, Mum...can I stay home and chop wood next time you go shopping?"
Louis: As life goes, I do a lot of shopping for groceries. What I like to do is to converse with the youngsters in the trollies - e.g. wiggle my ear until I get a smile. I think they are sometimes very bored.

Me thinks it's better than kids running all over the shop, Louis, right?! What a precious catch.
Louis: Those kids running amok in the shop? I take a lolly and give it to the kid. The kid doesn't realise it is not paid for and starts licking. Then mother happens on the occasion (me out of sight) - oh well, they both deserve each other. What can one say grin

Sorry Louis: your style has changed - that fooled me!
Louis: That's Ok - I deleted Zeb on your behalf smile
Is he not praying that he gets a toy at the end for being a good boy???
Louis: smile No, he is definitely sleeping.
This is exactly how I feel about shopping Louis.
Louis: Well, I hope you are allowed to go to the pub across the street while the shopping safari takes place.

Very cute, wish l could do that when I have had enough shopping
Louis: You can, if you want to. But I would love to see you try to fit your tallness into a cart smile
Pick n Pay (or Checkers) is just so boring these days!
Louis: You know those places? Much of the sameness smile

wonderful image louis. They are so lucky being able to fall asleep anywhere.
Louis: I have pictures of all my children when they fell asleep on the toilet. Also all of them with the head in the plate of food. They play till they drop.
Shopping makes me feel like this Louis!
Great capture.
Louis: You should stay away then. If you fall asleep in the aisle you can get run over by a reckless housewife smile
What's that phrase parents they 'f*** you up'

Louis: They free you up or freak you out.
I feel like this after the first shop, or just before in fact.
Louis: The knees getting weaker and weaker as the hiur approaches smile

Isn't it amazing how kids can just fold themselves in any angle like their boneless. I've tried to get to that state a couple of times but my bones aren't that foldable anymore :-( Precious image!
Louis: Pliable, impressionable, etc. You have tried what?!

That is the reason Ginnie and I never shop, I am too heavy for her to carry me on her back.
Great picture, love it, wonderful B&W.
Louis: But she can posh you around in a shopping cart?

Thanks for the comment Astrid.
Hi Louis, in reply to your comment.....
yes I know those places (Pick n Pay and Checkers). We used to live in Zim, with a son and his family in Cape Town. We were frequent visitors until about 5 years ago. We still have grand-daughters and friends in Cape Town and Johannesburg, but for health reasons, we are unlikely to visit again. We now live most of the time in Spain.
Louis: Thanks for the sharing Sheila. It is a pity when one's destinations start to get limited.

Poor kid!

I'm guessing they are not in a toy store!
Louis: [Heh, heh] 100% right - a photography shop and his dad is looking at cameras, while mom is studying lenses smile
A nice portrait
Louis: You have some great pictures of the Tour riders. Thanks for the comment here, calusarus.
He he, remember me when at school smile A likey !
Louis: Thank you m'sieu. Slept at school and now you are the bank director? I should have slept some more grin
