The ghost of Christmases past

A glimpse into our yesteryear of Christmases gone by. A blur of movement, arriving or going? Is it a horse, a reindeer, a plane - no it is not superman. Superman does not exist, for that we humans are way too full of failure. Maybe that is why the comic character had to come from another planet.

For those of us who believe in Christmas, it is a belief that there is hope against the human failure. An unknown number of thousands of years has proved that the human race cannot overcome its own failures. We only succeeded in increasing the impact from local to global.

Those who believe in the Christ of Christmas, may you have a blessed weekend.

To those who don't believe the same, may you have a grand weekend filled with love and joy.

Thank you Louis. I wish you and yours a happy and peaceful Christmas
Louis: Thank you Bill - and the best to you and yours.
This is a great shot - I love the way you get glimpses of form among the movement. And a Merry Christmas to you too!

You are so lucky that you had your camera out when the Santa came with the sledge and reindeer..... I am just staring and ik kan het bijna niet geloven, dus de Kerstman bestaat echt???? gringrin
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
Louis: Thank you Astrid. Yes, if you know the man's routine, you can wait for him. I am still waiting for someone to tell me how he slides down our non-existent chimneys. (70% of homes in Africa are without chimneys. Many children grow up with outside cooking fires).
I don't start having a drink until Christmas Day Louis ... Have a Good Christmas celebrated in the way that suits you

cheers
Louis: Do you have to be so hard on yourself, now that you are officially on pension? Thanks for the wishes Richard?

I love the blur and the sentiment behind it, Louis. You know I'm on the same page with you. I especially like the title.
Louis: I have seen your blog, yes we're on the same page in that instance as well smile

This could be a blur of memory Louis. I keep thinking that things that happened many years ago happened recently: all gets blurred as we age
Louis: It is a function of growing older. The more Christmases you have behind you, the more blurred the content of the day becomes. Another aspect that also changes is captured in the song: "When we were small, and Christmas trees were tall ..."
