On golden pond - hippo

I am late with this posting, as I had a hectic time these last two weeks. Everything caught up with me and I went to bed 24:00 yesterday. So, decided to go ahead and post the last one in the 'Golden pond' series. Along with that, I will not be around on SC next week, and maybe the week thereafter.

Have a golden weekend.

I am pleased you posted this Louis as it is a delight. Have a great time whatever you are doing and see you when you return!
Louis: Thank you Bill. Mostly some voluntary work.
Brilliant shot of the hippo enjoying a dip in Golden Pond Louis. Have a great weekend and thereafter
Louis: Thanks cornishmaid. I was almost surprised he wasn't covered in gold foil, on emerging.
A fun capture, beautifully shot, Louis. He seems a bit curious with his eyes focused on you.
Louis: Thanks Beverly. Oh, curiosity is in the hippo's nature.
This is a fine Hippo picture Louis, and what wonderful light, I hope Mr.Hippo appreciates it as much as we do.
Louis: Funny thing is, when looking in my direction, it wouldn't see the gold reflection. It does however enjoy water.
Fine shot, Luis - I had to look twice before I saw the eyes!
Louis: Thanks Tom. I guess we all get older smile

He looks as if he is bathing in liquid gold Louis.
Louis: Quite a thing to witness in real life, gutteridge

Oh my, this a likey to me. what a fabulous shot. Absolute delightful. BTW I love these hippos....... Have a great week. Take your time, being retired is very hectic :d....
Louis: Very hectic indeed. Make yourself available and you get sucked up in a vortex of occurrences. I realised the other day, that I get forced to stop posting on SC, more times than when I was managing projects. Hard to explain, but it happens. It must be my old sickness of finding it difficult to say 'not' good requests. Thanks for the likey, Astrid.
Ooooooh very good - worth waiting for!

Enjoy your time off, Louis - we'll miss you! smile
Louis: Thank you Elizabeth. When I get back on the air, your waiting time will be reduced, somewhat smile

Louis: Thanks peter, it was a golden opportunity
So sorry I missed this earlier, Louis...though I did notice you hadn't posted yet. At least I see now what I missed. May the hippos live forever!
Louis: I posted a bit late on that day, Ginnie. Things were getting out of hand - one reason for a break. Hippos get old ...
Superbe !
Louis: Merci, Olivier
Wonderful image Louis.
Louis: Thank you Jacquelyn Ann
