photoblog image Monday

Monday

Just a bit more than half-a-moon. This shot was taken about 17:00 in the afternoon on 25 February 07.  Since the sky was a light blue it did not allow one to see too much of the moon's details, I have created a clean layer and added in a grey-blue colour merging down, which provides better contrast and therefor more detail of the moon. And yes those are just ordinary clouds drifting by.

Since I've taken the blue out of Monday - have a happy Monday. Today is the day of the week named after the moon.

OMG, Louis. That's going straight to my Likeys!!!
Louis: I consider that an honour Ginnie.
Beautiful moon - I've tried taking pics of the moon but they dont look even close to this one...The combo blue sky and moon is superb smile
Louis: It took me some time to realise that taking pictures of the moon by night, allow the camera to do the work. One tends to think you must go manual and have long shutter opening times. But not so. Thanks for the comment Aksel.

great stuff louis. i have a definite case of 200 mils of glass envy
Louis: Don't we all wish for them? I have the 18-200 on my list and an adapter for the 50-500, although that may slide after GerhardtOtto 's comment about the speed you require to sidestep camera shake.

I envy you your clear air. I would just get a brown splotch if I tried this.
Louis: Is this a Japan or a back home comment. I must say our air is quite clear in summer.

Very good, and good that you timed it so well because the clouds are in the perfect position.

(... third attempt!)
Louis: Thanks for the comment. I must say the number of times I have to repeat a comment has decreased dramatically, so someone is looking after the issue it seems.
Very good. Nice really. I like
Louis: Thank you Jose-Angel
