photoblog image Folded folders

Folded folders

This is a macro picture that I have taken with my 18-200 Sigma lens. I have again used the HDR and tone mapping technique describe in this posting http://www.louis.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Dynamic_ranges_2_/.  Stupid link thing doesn't want to work :-(

These are a number of thin files (A3 carton folded double) in a holder. They fan out a little to the top. The hairy thing to the left is an old music sheet.

Kief shot, like this one a lot, the torn music sheet adds a bit of drama to the picture.
Louis: Thank you floorsie, you were up at daybreak it seems.

Mo(nd)riaantje zo zwart als roet,
ging eens wandelen zonder hoed,

Roy G. Biv (almost, but not in quite the same order). Very fun, Louis, and a bit different from your normal posts. I like it!! smile
Louis: Who the heck is Roy G. Biv - took me a few moments to figure out what you were referring to. Thanks for the comment Ginnie.

Hi loius .. had a look at your HDR.. individual photos .. its amazing that you can achieve the result you do form those.Love the rich colours. Clever shot. What piece of music do you have up there?
Louis: Thanks for the comment Gale - the music is the Elizabeth Serenade.
So colorful! Nice abstract Shot...Love colors!
Louis: Thanks for the colourful comment ChaCha
Love the colours and the fact that you have a different element to the left in the pic, that is a very good idea imho. I'm not sure about the little black corner in the bottom right corner - I think the right side of the pic makes this "different" enough - ...
Louis: Ah, Aksel you are a hard man to satisfy. I loaded this picture twice, and before I became aware of the new template. Between #1 and #2 I did crop. I thought the corner would be going too far. And now there is the new template and with it I could have cropped and engineered a fitting size.
The point is that I agree about the corner and maybe should have done a third upload.
Thank you for your straightforward comment - have to watch it now that you are back from the holidays tongue

Hi oe blommie, dis my musiek mappies...mooi ne!!
Louis: Ja, dat dit nou so 'n foto kon maak. Wie sou dit kon sĂȘ?
Richard of York gained battle in vain (but most of my friends preferred to shorten it to just ROY G. BIV, the way Ginnie did). It feels like there is a yellowish cast to this photo, although it's probably just the intensity of the colours and the HDR technique. Nevertheless, this very bright and colourful photo certainly caught my eye.
Louis: The yellowish cast is possible from the number of yellow related objects. Even the green folders at the back is not a clear green anymore because of age. The red folder also reflects a soft red against the blue folder next to it. In a similar way I guess it is possible that a yellow cast can be observed on that fancy new machine of yours smile Apple Macs are few and far between here in SA, for no specific reason that I know of.
Thanks for the comment Karen.
Really a good idea Louis ! Bravo !
Louis: Thank you Zebigleb.
