Seriously beautiful image, Louis. Masterclass in use of available light.
Louis: Thanks ray, much appreciated
I totally agree with Ray! I love the back-lighting, Louis. It's such a serene shot.
Louis: Thanks Ginnie, I have been experimenting a lot with backlighting the last few months and am starting to like the results.
This is a beautiful image, Louis. Bravo.
Louis: Thanks chad, much appreciated
fabulous shot Louis, love what the light has added to the scene
Louis: Thanks time, I think I have mentioned to you before that I am experimenting with backlight - and this is the kind of results that I am after.
Louis, a fabulous shot here, love the light, I am, impressed, you just have showed us you love for these beautiful horses
Louis: Thanks Astrid, I do like horses. Fascinating animals.
Superb shot Louis. The backlight is fantastic!
Louis: Thank you Richard, I have been working on backlight techniques and it seems to me that presenting them in some kind of mono colour works the best.
Mother and child- I love the tender lighting and the peaceful atmosphere!
Louis: Thank you Philine, they are a beautiful pair
You have a Bella too! Very beautiful image - I really love the foal silhouette.
Louis: Thanks for the comment Mary. Bella is not my horse, but a stable mate of Emily (my horse). With the foal she runs loose in the stable yard and environs.
Lovely idea on the conversion Louis, it gives great atmosphere. Peaceful and quiet
Louis: Thank you Tracy, I found that the backlight pictures works best if I convert them to a mono colour.
I like the falling light here
Louis: Thank you Chantal, I have been working on backlight techniques
Very good yes very very good
Louis: Thank you vintage, very very much appreciated
Beautiful animals and a wonderfully soft and sun-dappled shot.
Louis: Thanks Red Pen, yes horses are special.
What a wonderfully alert little thing she is, and a lovely picture too
Louis: Thanks Ellie, it is a delight to watch the pair cantering around on the property.
Are your horses multiplying, Louis? I hear this can be lucrative if they right horses multiply
Louis: Thanks for the concern Martin. No they are not mine, but stable mates of my horse. In the normal order of things, horses is a running expense - even worse than golf or photography. If you have a lot of millions lying around you will be able to buy horses that will breed offspring worth millions - but otherwise a small chance of making real money.
Beautiful lighting.
Looks like a beam of light hitting the big horse
Louis: Thanks Magnum, I have been working on backlight techniques and I am starting to like the results.
Delightful. richard
Louis: Thank you Richard
Bella is very bella and so is Topaz... ;-)
Louis: Un bel paio di cavalli. Thank you Frank.
I like the fact that you have kept some details in the horses - I guess that is what you do when you work with light in such fine way
Louis: Yes, that is the trick of backlight pictures - to maintain passable detail, while having the light frame the subject(s). Thanks Aksel.
Very well done and a good idea in B&W ! Bravo Louis !
Louis: Thanks for the comment Imaginerf
