Elizabeth bridge
Not a true sunset, since it was another hour and a half before sunset. The storm clouds did make everything look darker. This is the Elizabeth bridge in yesterday's picture - the white bridge. I have done a little straightening and crop, but left the picture as 'dark' as it was - that is how I remember the time of the picture. The suspension cables causes some kind of an opical illusion which I can't figure out. I do know that the bottom cable is further (other side of the road) than the higher cable. The illusion that I see is that the 2 cables seems to be detached and nearer to the lens than the bridge itself. Late update: this bridge does not cross the sea, it crosses the Danube river in Budapest

Great photo Louis.. love the light on the sea.The optical illusion is misleading.
Louis: Thanks for the comment Gale. It must be that you are living in the place that you do that you will be thinking that the river Danube is the sea
a beautiful grafic pic with the sihouette of the bridge, a gorgeous sky and a wonderful light on the sea! A great composition!
Louis: Thank you Philine, the lone pensive figure on the bridge drew my attention.
Such a beautiful sight. Makes me want to be the want admiring nature from the bridge.
Louis: Thanks Tony. It was that lone figure that caused me to take the picture.
Très belle photo...le ciel et l'eau séparés par ce pont...c'est très bien vu !
Louis: Merci 10crè. Les nuages dans le ciel ont fourni beaucoup d'occasions pour les photos.
I love illusions like that, Louis! And I like that you have kept the image dark, just as you saw it.
Louis: Thanks Ginnie. It took me long to blog the picture - because that same illusion sort make the picture appears to be distorted.
I like the sun light on the river
Louis: Thanks vintage - it does draw attention.
Very nice picture Louis. And you're right about the optical illusion here.
Louis: Thanks Scarlet - it does look weird.
Talking about schoonmoeders Louis, my MIL her name is Elizabeth, can you keep a secret.....I love the picture of your Elizabeth bridge far more, this is just a stunning picture, mijn vriend, love the reflection in the water.
Louis: Thanks Astrid. Can you MIL read, and can she surf the internet? If yes, then you are a brave girl
Beautiful sky, sun and silhouettes !!! I like it ... It's very poetic ...
Louis: Thanks Ann - it does have a poetic feeling to it.
Very nice moody shot Louis. I like the reflections and the silhouette of the person standing on the bridge
Louis: Thanks Richard. Moody is the word I have just been looking for - so double thanks
I like the way you have captured the light Louis. Nice shot
Louis: Thanks for the comment Tracy
Can't make my mind up over this one Louis. But I know for certain that I would have taken a shot from the same spot. richard
Louis: Thanks Richard. I think the illusion is a bit disturbing - I can't make my mind up either.
beautiful shot Louis, the lone person is a bonus but feel it would have been even better without the traffic,
Louis: Thanks tim, without the traffic would be better i agree, but then it is a major traffic bridge
At first I thought this was from Stockholm
Louis: Thanks Magnus - was it the darkness?
I like the kind of optical illusion - I also like the person in the pic - standing under the sun
Louis: Thanks Aksel. The person was the original reason for the pic and the optical illusion came for free. The illusion kept me from blogging the picture for a long time.
Like very much the management of shodows and lights here : A good shot Louis !!
Louis: Thanks Zebigleb - I like it too, except for the distortion.
