I find myself walking along looking up at the tops of the trees just in this way. Nice shot!
Louis:
I rather like this perspective. This is a very good tree for this type of shot.
Louis: Thanks Martin. I agree about the 'good tree' observation.
Now thats a very familiar sight, nicely captured Louis.
Louis: I thought you just may recognise it
But...but...but...I do hope you gave it a try to climb it, to have a better view???
this is a great perspective, love these things, I think this IS high, love the blue sky in combination of the green leaves!!! Very good jobe here.
Louis: See tomorrow's picture and you will see how high they are. No easy climbing and thanks for thinking I can do it Astrid
They are a great tree like this photo it capture what its realy like
Louis: Thanks vintage. A lot of these australian vermin growing over here - not a nasty remark. Our government published a list of all trees and these as well as the wattles (also from australia) could be something of our past in a few years. They use too much water. Originally imported to serve as windbreakers near homestead in the flat parts of the country. The wattles for preparing leather - they still make good charcoal.
Much like australia we also struggle with water issues.
Reminds me of laying under a tree on a sunny day. The leaves lay on the sky like lace doilies.
Louis: We all did that laying around and the lucky ones still do. Thanks Kathryn.
Yes, and it gives me vertigo !!! Well done ...
Louis: That can happen. Thanks for the comment Ann.
Oh, the eyes have to climb up- very quickly like monkeys, and at the top there will be a wonderful, fascinating panorama-view! And then what does my eyes detect- a groep of horsemen and onder them Louis "gestiefelt und gespornt"!
Louis: The primary trunk of these trees are too high and smooth. The monkeys don't like that. But you would have a brilliant panorama if you could climb up there. Tomorrow a view where you can see how high these trees are - and some horses
I get the drift .. Nice shot ..
Louis: Thank you Shakara
Had a backyard full of these big guys when I lived in Oz...never tired of staring up the trunk of them, just like this!
Great pic, Louis.
Louis: As far as I know they are the trees that can go the highest, standing alone. They have very nice trunks - photographically speaking
I get straight vertigo from this, Louis. Fantastic!
Louis: Thanks for the comment Chad
This angle makes you aware of the height
Louis: And they are so high. Thanks for the comment Chantal.
Great angle, and good idea! Nice one Louis
Louis: Thank you Michelle
Not sure I would want to go to the top Louis, it looks a bit to high for me!!
Great shot hope your neck is ok
Louis: Thanks Tracy, I have a strong neck. I have read about your famous fear of heights
Great angle for this vertiginous perspective Louis. Well done
Louis: Thank you Richard - tree pictures are up your lane I guess.
like the angle Louis really gives you a sense of the height
Louis: Yes tim, the ride sites are out in the country and camping is at the order of the day. This camping picture I took at one such site last year http://www.louis.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Camping_/

Louis: Thanks for the comment PhotoSam
