Liana, lichen and moss

Lots of great textures, Louis! This is very good.
Louis: Thank you Martin. The tree shows no bark lowdown, all is covered by lichen and moss.
lol @ the title, cool picture. I like how the rust goes right up over the cable.
Louis: No rust Jewlya. It is a tree trunk covered by a liana and a lot of lichen and the some moss. What I found amazing is the variety of lichen on this one tree.
I have tried several times to get a decent shot of liana vines, and never been happy with the outcome.
You have done a great job, Louis...I think it is your choice of richly textured backdrop that makes it work so well. [another lesson for ray]
Louis: Thanks ray. The 'rope' was curling around a lichen and moss covered tree. The variety of lichen in that one space caught my attention.
Great tittle Louis and I love this composition, very well spotted and a superb picture.
I love the different tones in it.
Louis: Thank you Astrid - it is the lichen that provide the tones.
This is wonderfully painterly, Louis
Louis: Thankly for the comment chad
Great capture Louis. I love the textures and the patterns!
Louis: Thank you Richard. What I found amazing is the variety of lichen on this one tree.
Great texture and colour! Like it.
Louis: Thank you Frank - at last I found something that shows some texture
A nice bit of abstractification ( new word for the Oxford English Dictionary). richard
Louis: Thanks for qa commendable comment Richard.
Amazing that everything is the same colour - One thing is turning into the other. It's beautiful.
Louis: Thank you Mary. The area is almost a rain forest due to the waterfalls in the area.
How did you find such a vine, great texture
Louis: With a camera in hand I see more than usual. The vine was hugging a tree close to yesterday's waterfall. Thanks for the comment vintage.
The textures here are wonderful! Great shot.
Louis: Thanks martie. The variety of lichen provides the texture.
Love the texures and tones in this shot Louis. Cool title
Louis: Thanks Tracy. I love it when I find this kind of variety in nature.
Thought this was a metal thing
Exellent texture shot
Louis: Thanks for the comment Magnus
Very interesting colours - and a good title
Louis: Thank you Aksel. One or two water pics coming up next week.
great title Louis even better shot love the textures, on a lighter note could you please forward some glasses to Jewlya
Louis: At our age we should be nice to the young ones. We just may become dependent on them
Ha. Interesting. I don't see a wood texture here at all. A piece of metal with a wire cable.
Louis: Thats OK I guess. We all see what we see. Just don't spec a building to be reinforced with this piece of metal
Love the title
Nice shot the rope seems to be eaten by the stone !!
Louis: Thanks Zebigleb - the stone is actually a tree with no teeth
