Rising stars
With a lot of dew around, these two dew drops reflected in gold, while the rest had a silvery shine. It is probably the first time that I have decided on a conversion before I took the picture.

like stars rising from the dust, very well presented. mal
Louis: Thanks for this comment mal
rising stars, a magical image. great work, louis.
Louis: Thanks Gihin - it was beautiful to see as well.
You are a romantic, Louis!
Louis: Some of that is true Victor
Magical!
Reminds me for some strange reason of the witch "outing" scene from the Monty Python movie about the brave knights searching for the grail [...or, was it quail?]. I don't know how to do selective colour conversion like this, but the result is startling. Impressive that you had the PP worked out even as your were shooting!
Louis: Thanks ray. What I remember of the Python knights, they would more likely be after quail
There are more than one way to do selective colouring. The one I used here is to select the reflecting dewdrops with the magic wand. That is the difficult part - to get the selection right. Right click on the selection and select 'cut and create layer'. The drops are now on a different layer. Go back to the original one and do the conversion - in this case I have gone b&w and applied a light blue filter, followed with an emerald green one.
I like these mysterious golden eyes peering out at the viewer.
Louis: Thank you Martin - the dew monster with eyes almost on top of each other
Fantastic, Louis. You saw the magic and "executed" it!
Louis: Thanks Ginnie. That never happened before and I was so amazed by myself that I just had to mention it
Louis, YOU are romantic, this is a great picture, I see two little elfs with their lanterns fly out of the grass...pure magic to me, Love the B&W, have a great weekend.
Louis: Thanks Astrid. I am a little romantic, fortunately not too much. The practical side of me pulls me through
Goed weekend, en tot maandag!
Groeten daar.
Louis: Bedankt Giep, morgen gaan we olifanten wassen. Verassing voor tante's verjaardag. De groet.
Well spotted, Louise. I like the way you have decided to present this. Magical! (:o)
Louis: Thank you Rosalyn. There is magic when the early morning sun strikes the dew drops.
Leprechaun, hobbits, elves, Tinkle bell??
;-)
Louis: Tears of an angel?
I didn't know fire flies work in the day also ?
Louis: They do, they work on hiding away
A lovely idea! Nice that you are giving with your words the "rest" of dew a "silvery shine"! If more "stars" would be rising, we could experience the fairy tale of " Sterntaler": "...And as she so stood, and had not one single thing left, suddenly some stars from heaven fell down, and they were nothing else but hard smooth pieces of money, and although she had just given her little shirt away, she had a new one which was of the very finest linen. Then she gathered together the money into this, and was rich all the days of her life."
Louis: Thanks Philine. Interesting fairy tale story, and interesting how even the old authors were thinking of happiness in terms of money and being rich forever. Now you can understand where the american dream came from
Just magical Louis. A great eye you have!
Louis: Thank you Richard. There is magic when the early morning sun strikes the dew drops.
wow fantastica! belli i toni e la composizione! mi piace un sacco!
Louis: Ringraziarla Paola. Sono felice che la soddisfa un sacco.
Well done !!! And creative shot ...
Louis: Thanks for the comment Ann
wonderful image Louis and great processing, very well done
Louis: Thank you tim - appreciated.
I was trying to get some sparkles like this in the water in my pond. I did not get them as nicely as this.
Louis: Thanks Mary, oh happy gentle dancer. I believe water sparkles would be difficult. The dew sparkles remain static as long as you remain at the right angle to them.
A brave decision here, louis.
Louis: Thanks chad. I have been ordained as knight of the order of Monty Python
great to go with B&W here.
Louis: Thank you Chantal
Fantastic capture and processing Louis.
Louis: Thanks for the comment Aussie. Just don't lose that nice place on the hill.

Have you taken a career change and moved into diamonds now Louis. Interesting vista you found.
Louis: Wattya mean, I have been in diamonds before. But not so interesting. Thanks for your comment nev.
I like this idea - the more I look the more I would like to see more drops in gold...I think
Louis: Thank you Aksel. I could have cloned in more sparkles, but I have a feeling that it would do the picture any good.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! A very cool process on this photo.
Louis: Thanks for the comment marybeth
