...it certainly does!
And you have captured its descent really well, too, Louis.
Louis: And got a few drops on the camera as well
Mooi plekkie, voor de verkoeling!
Louis: Ver gestapt en warm, dan ga je daaronder staan
That is some fall, Louis. It looks more like a burst pipe.
Louis: A slight problem with nature's plumbing, thanks chad
Beautiful shot Louis. I like the angle and the slow motion effect!
Louis: Thank you Richard, I nearly got wet here
great angle Louis. It looks really refreshing.
Louis: Thanks Scarlet - it is nice clear mountain water.
Your pic gives the illusion that the water is really falling and I can hear the sounds of the spray and feel the fine 'rain' upon my face and smell the fresh air!
Louis: Everything like you said and in the fresh air the smell of wood herbs. Thanks Philine.
I think Philine just said it all, gewldige foto, Louis, dit is echt een 'water-val'...ben je op een soort trektocht geweest?
Louis: Thanks Astrid. Dit was een klim en staptocht en dan met fototoestel en driepoot ook daarbij.
Wonderful capture of the movement of the waterfall!!
Louis: Thannks for the comment martie
Terrific capture Louis, love the movement of the water.
Louis: Thank you Aussie - enjoy China.
Maybe a shutterspeed that freezes the water would have been nice too
Louis: I have some of those too Chantal, but I thought this one gives some frozen water and the idea of movement at the same time
I like the way you have captured the water - it's still water and not a white fluff...even if that can be fine sometimes with that dreamy fog-like water....
Louis: I have a white fluff coming up next week - and some other water pics as well. Thanks Aksel.
The portrait angle worked well Louis! Nice one.
Louis: Thank you Ferdi. I hiked all the way with camera and tripod and when I got there I found that I left the foot that screws onto the camera at home
Great capture Louis the movement of the water really gives this shot a sense of power and speed
Louis: Thanks Tracy, you saw that well
Great photo I can all most here the roar of the water
Louis: Thanks vintage and I got a few drops on my equipment
so this is where you have been hiding. Where was it Louis?
Louis: Place by the name of Verlorenkloof, liam.
Looks very dynamic. The short exposure works well here.
Louis: Thanks Martin - a sort of cross between the white fluff and sharp detail of the water.
superb angle Louis it almost feels like your about to get soaked and such a sense of motion with only a 1/60s exposure, well done
Louis: Thanks tim, there were a few drops on the lens afterwards
I like fridays picture better
Louis: Thank you Magnus - me too
Louis, I simply must know if you slipped your shoes off and put your feet into that deliciously tempting looking water. I would have HAD to.
Louis: Thanks Kathryn. I hike with strops. It is a sandal like shoe, with great grip on wet and dry rocks. No warm feet as well. They dry and clean very easy. So with them I just walk in the water. Best for me is to lay on my stomach and drink from the pool below the fall - such sweet water.
Perfect shutterspeed - I like the slight blur to show motion, but distinctness to show all the water crashing down.
Louis: Thank you Jewlya - I am pleased with the result as well.
It works !!!!
Louis: Quality water works by the municipality
