Abandoned

The building next to the house I stayed in at the Tankwa Karoo National Park. This looked to be some kind of a work room, with a store annex.

Oh yes! One of your best, Maestro.
Louis: Thank you very much, Ray
i like the treatment which shows flame and rust in equal parts, Louis. i imagine the interior has been stripped bare of anything that it may have contained as a workshop.
Louis: The 'treatment' is from the early morning sun, that just broke over the mountain, behind my back. I remember the frame of a workbench, inside the room. What intrigued me most, is that this place was empty for 30 - 40 years and the window panes remained intact. It is also clear that someone plastered cement on the walls during the last 10 years or so - but never finished the job.
An excellent image, Louis!
Louis: Thank you, Elizabeth
This is great louis, like a painting.
Louis: The surrealities of abandoned "life". Thanks, Frank.
J'aime le mélange de couleurs.
Louis: Je l'aime trop.

A very photogenic place if seen in the right light Louis
Louis: This was early morning, Chris.
Make me want to peek inside, Louis!
Louis: You are picking up Dutch manners, Ginnie! I have always said - if you want to make sure a Dutchy will open a door, put a "No entry" sign on it smile I can only remember the framework for a workbench inside - oops, there I have spilled that I was inside...

You can just feel the hot sun on this abandoned building....
A great picture, Louis.
Louis: Thank you, Astrid. This is early morning, not so very hot yet.
Wonderful colour Louis. Cracking picture
Louis: Thank you, Bill. Yes, there are a lot of cracks in that wall.

Everyone is getting into ‘Windows of the world’, I’m impressed Louis.
Louis: When the rest of us get into your game, you will have to step up your act, to remain noticed.
Wow, this is great Louis, love the burnt orange of the door! smile
Louis: Thank you, Martin. The long bleach process.
Great shot Louis, if it was mine I definitely consider using it ina competitino at my camera club.
Louis: I find this a very interesting comment, Brian. Something to think about.
What a terrific picture, Louis. Lots places we've stayed, the outbuildings are more interesting than the house!
Louis: Thank you, Graeme. My experience too, especially on older properties.
I do like a nice bit of dilapidation!
Louis: There is lots of it in the Tankwa National Park.

Your fine treatment emphasises the feeling of abandonedness.
Louis: Thank you, Philine. Most of the "treatment" comes from the sunlight.
nature is slowly taking it back Louis... i like your framing and treatment of this image....petersmile
Louis: Thank you, peter. Slowly, yes.

Louis: A touch of late sun. Thank you, CrashRyan.
