I take it the name explains all.
Louis: Not for me. I fail to see what olives have to do with its eating habits or colouring. Olive doesn't apply in either case. Maybe its general colour reminded someone of those dark Kalamata olives - but even that is a stretch.
Pigeons often look curiously like this.........a fine capture Louis!
Louis: They turn the eye to better observe you - they have telescopic vision (not binocular).
Somewhat different than the Pigeons we have over here.
