Vaal on the side

This week I am blogging shenannigans, some true and some homemade HDR pictures I have taken of the Vaal river in the area of Parys. Shouldn't be difficult to see this is a homemade HDR.

This is a sideshow (branch) of the real river.

For those of you who haven't been to Parys, it is a little town in the Free State province of South Africa.  Parys is known for its many artists and antique shops.

Enjoy the weekend, if you don't then you may have ran out of beer.

It looks like a beautiful spot, and you have certainly done it justice with this image. (:o)
Louis: Thank you Rosalyn
Looks good Louis. Nice place to it and enjoy a beer.
Louis: A case of beer, a fishing pole with no bait on the hook. That is a sgood as it gets, Bill.

A splendid series Louis: the saturated colours really work well
Louis: Thanks Chris
super scene that looks great with the aid of hdr, nice work Louissmile
Louis: You can not imagine how bland the original picture was, but RAW contains all the data so I have to use it.

These pictures of yours are truly astonishing Louis. There's such a depth to this picture and both the colours and detail are superb.
Louis: Thanks Ellie, they are truly worth the effort in my view.
this hdri is well done, not excessive.
Louis: Ah the kind doctor! The excessive is not for me as well.
This does work quite well for me Louis. A wonderful scenery!

colour is very rich, liking this...
Louis: Thank you PhotoSam
I like the treatment that you have given him. It seems that the stones are in relief! It is hdr?
Louis: It is not a proper hdr. I make use of a single photo to create 3 differently exposed pictures. The 3 pictures are processed like hdr. This approach to hdr has limitations.
Another wonderful sight of nature, these rocks seems as animals ...
Louis: Hippopotimi? Thanks Zebigleb

Doei.
I like this - usually I find HDR pictures overdone in a way...but this, not si much.....the rich colours drags me in to the picture...
Louis: Well I do try to stay away from the 'overdone' level, since I just want to enhance the picture and not change it. Working from a single RAW original seems to make it easy to stay in the limits. Thanks again.
This is also very, very nice. I can't believe I didn't have a comment on these two examples.
Louis: Thank you Mary. Well, this is long ago and I am not sure we have 'met' yet.
