Lonely shopper

Shopping, which was once highly social, is increasingly solo. You can “do errands” from your sofa at home. With mobile and wireless technology, you can shop from anywhere, at any time of day. Food, clothes, furniture and electronics are delivered to your doorstep. You don’t even have to speak to anyone while making a purchase.

Do you still stalk the shopping malls and streets in search of sales, bargains and exclusive stuff?

Have a great weekend with lots of shopping space.

A likey for me
Louis: Oh my, thank you zed.
A classical good photograph. One could write a book about it.
Louis: Thank you Pekka. But not in Finnish, it is a very difficult language for me.
One key to perfection with this picture! the great Black and White! Bravo, really!
Louis: Thank you Mathilde, I thought b&w would work well.

DITTO to all the comments thus far, Louis. I really like scenes like this and the one lonely shopper does add to the ethos. I have never been a shopper per se. Just do my research and if I need to go to a certain store for anything, I'm in and out as fast as possible. Guess you could say I was never a social shopper.

Now, if you're talking about window shopping, that's fun with your wife on your arm or standing nearby with her camera. smile
Louis: Shopping is what I do when I need stuff. Not very social type of activity, I agree. Widow shopping can be fun, thank you Ginnie.

Louis: Oh, she is stylish for sure. Hunting bargains can be nice, especially if they fit the budget smile

Fine introducing comment! My feeling says: This must be a narrow street in South-Germany or Austria...- a fine nostalgic toning and a fine perspective - I'm not a shopping type, also not an online shopper - if I have to go shopping, I prefer to do that as a two's company for as we say: "Vier oogjes zien meer dan twee"!
Louis: It is a narrow street in Zürich, across the river from the Altstadt. Some are shopping types and some are not, but you have to get the stuff from the shop to your home smile Thank you Philine.
On-line shopping suits me because I loath shops and shopping malls.
Louis: I understand. The normal traffic rules do not apply when some girls start pushing shopping carts smile
Very nice picture !! It's a likey.
Louis: Thank you Frank. An honour coming from you.
I detest shopping so do as much as possible on line. This is a great picture.
Louis: Thanks Bill, and one day there will be no shoppers in the streets smile
This is super Louis, the tones everything smile
Louis: Thank you Linda
This is just superb Louis ...

I think I'll have to change direction and just takes pictures of water evaporating from a saucer or something.
Louis: Thank you Richard. The evaporating water will probably be magnificent, then wink
Louis..I must have saved a fortune shopping on the net..Its only the nick-nacks from the mall..Good picture BTW.
Louis: Thank you Ron. If you have a fortune, do you have heirs?

A very nice prospect with a great mastery of light, and very good use of N & B. In summary a very nice picture
Louis: Thank you Francis. It is appreciated.
I'm not shopping but I am tethered to my iPhone.
A classic shape in that allysmile
Louis: Thanks Nigel. Yes, she is of a classic shape - something like sleek office worker.

What gorgeous light. And the singular figure really adds a sense of intrigue and mystery.
Louis: Thank you Marcie. Meeting in a dark ally - 007 and the lot.

I love the addition of the street lamp here. I think that completed the image.
Louis: Thank you Mroy - it does add some interest.

La Boudoir seems more appropriate...
Louis: Oh no, Ray knows something about french! Personally I wouldn't know what the sex of parts of a building would be. As far as the use of a boudoir is concerned, I tend to agree with you.
Great shot! The style of the lonely shopper suits the elegant streets perfectly.
Louis: Thank you Journey Photographic. Zürich is an elegant place for most parts.
Stunning! Simply stunning. (:o)
Louis: Thank you Rosalyn
Une très belle image contrastée.
Un beau coup d'oeil!
Louis: Les images sont de fournir de la nourriture pour les yeux. Merci, RDL.
