Staircase end

If you would keep on climbing various staircases to the Miradouro da Nossa senhora do Monte (Viewpoint of our Lady of the Mount), these are the last few steps. On the left is some restoration going on - a lot of it happens in the older parts of Lisbon.

good shot Louis... i can see from the top of the stairs that they can use some restoration... i love the way the red flowering plants flowing down what seems to be a roof....petersmile
Louis: Thanks peter - the plant is a bougainvillea, normally associated with the warmer parts of the world.
So, "it" happens everywhere, I see, Louis!
Louis: "It" is so universal, Ginnie smile

I have mixed feelings about this sort of graffiti
Louis: I don't mind graffiti, Chris - as long as it is not painted on my house. For the rest, I have difficulty to understand where people get the time and money to do it.
Not much room for further 'art' without a ladder
Louis: Yup, and to carry a ladder up those staircases would be quite a job. Maybe 'lend' one from the next door renovation works.
Je n'aime pas trop ces tags, je préfère lorsque ce sont des dessins qui représentent quelque chose.
Louis: Je préfère aussi beaux dessins, de lettres insensées.

A competition for colour going on in this photograph Louis.
Louis: Indeed, gutteridge. A flash-bang colour experience.

This could almost be in Bristol, Louis
Louis: Art in the dark, sort of.
Proof that there is good graffiti, and bad graffiti, Louis.
Louis: These are a colour splash of letters. I prefer a good picture.
Great shot, Louis - not exactly street art, but better than much one sees.
Louis: Thanks Tom. I would prefer a good picture, to senseless letters.

Love this, Louis.
Louis: Thank you Ray
Not the greatest graffiti
Louis: Just colour coding with the bougainvillea, Bill.
I very much like the lamp but I'm not a lover of graffiti etc.at all.
Louis: The lamp will be what make the dark arts (painted at night) possible, I guess, Brian smile
i like this scene Louis, especially the bunches of shrubbery. i normally do like graffiti but i think this is not well done or perhaps i do not understand the context.
Louis: I can't think that anyone except the artist, understands the message, when they paint this senseless stuff. I do like it, when they paint beautiful pictures.
I like the letter forms...
