One late afternoon, as I was starting to take interest in menu's, I came across this mime. A fun person, full of humour. I first suggested, that since he can't speak, he can't tell me his plight - to which he rolled his eyes and wriggled his stomach. I then suggested that something is wrong with his stomach and if he needs to run, I will look after his (plastic) pigeon and collection hat. He reacted by staring at me with wide eyes and a look that says - oh ye think I am dimwitted? My next suggestion was that he may be hungry - and, oh - his eyes glittered. I then told him to take a bite from his pigeon and I will see how I can help. He staged this picture and I gave him €5 for real.

This is a fun story and I think this picture is worth €5... what a way to earn money...

Louis: Wherever I find a mime, I try to get them to react. In a non-confrontational way of course. This guy did and I am sure he enjoyed it as well.
Good for you, Louis. He'd get a kick of all of us looking at your/his masterpiece, I'm sure. smile

I love your story. I have a few of these plastic birds around - crows for the annual crow walk.
Louis: Thank you Mary. I looked up PEI Crow Walk and saw something about a Lennox Island Powwow. Looks like something that would set shutters working.

Oh... very good. At first I thought that this was an actual statue until I read your notes. Getting into the gear and make up must take ages.
Louis: Thank you Alan. And getting out of it and cleaned up, must take just as much time.
Amazing what people will do to make a buck!
Louis: Yes, Tom and with these guys I am never sure whether it is utter desperateness or just a hobby. The get-up and clean-off must take ages.
