photoblog image Logan

During the summer of Dec 17/Jan 18 we visited Paternoster, a quaint fishing village on our west coast. Our children stayed with their families in various places in town. We, the grandparents, rented nice accommodation on a farm about 1km out of the village. Logan, our second grandson, came for a visit one afternoon, while his parents were off to somewhere.

Since he loves nature, we took him for a walk on the farm. We discovered steenbok (small antelope in picture), mice, spiders, a scorpion, rock pigeons, a big heron, guinea fowl and such wild life. Logan (2 years and 20 days) walked all of 3 kms, picking up stones, asking questions, attending my show and tells, chasing the fowl; well, he was busy. In the end he got tired (right hand pic) and I had to pick him up and carry him another km home.

Note the cap that grandpa brought him from Portugal.

For just over two years of age he's quite a guy! And, of course, when he grows up he'll know everything regarding the natural world..
Louis: It is now a year and a half later and he knows even more. Insatiable interest in nature.
So adorable, Louis. It makes me want to steeze the squffings out of him!
Louis: I agree with all that, Ginnie smile

What a treasure this Logan is, Louis. Great pictures and what a treat to have this little man around. Do I see correctly that he is "potty trained" wink
Louis: Thank you, Astrid. This was the start of potty training. Although holidays is a bad time to start potty training, He walked around without a nappy, when under direct adult supervision.
Lovely pictures Louis. He clearly has a love of nature already
Louis: Thank you, Bill. He loves nature and is very observant.

What joys when one could exhaust oneself and then be simply carried home.
Louis: Indeed so, Chad.
What a cute little character he is, seems like you all had a good time.
Louis: Thank you, Brian. We did have a great time.
Nice montage, Louis.
Louis: Thank you, Tom.
